popped out to buy some more fish for the pond – 3 ghost koi, 2 fantail goldfish (1 orange and 1 pale), and an orn’ry goldfish. We’ve bunged their polythene bag in the water to let the temperature adjust, and let’s just hope that piscine war doesn’t break out later this evening. That’ll make eleven fish in total – they’re incredibly relaxing to watch. I want an aquarium indoors now.
while we were out, followed a car with one of those Baby on Board stickers. Why do people do that? The only time it might be useful to know there’s a baby in the car is if the car is mangled in a traffic accident. How many of these sticker stickers take the sticker out where there isn’t a baby on board?
now I’m off to cook a simple summer supper (how alliterative!) for some good friends – looking forward to a nice evening.

Baby on Board stickers only prove that one of the people on board has probably had a failed contraceptive experience. My usual reaction is to pray that the baby on board isn’t actually driving and overtake as quickly as possible to be on the safe side.
Not sure what use the sign would be if breeder-wagon caught up in a nasty traffic accident – surely the thing to do here would be to swap the sign out for one that read Baby In Bits – at least that would be of use to the paramedics.
