  1. We tried some of the Ability software that Tesco plans to use in the office yesterday and it was surprisingly decent. I was expecting some nasty half-assed shareware thing.

  2. The oversize store at Stockport. Accrodign to what a council spokesman said (reported in MEN IIRC) was built to changed plans that were not submitted for approval, and that Tesco were unaware of the modified plans.

    As if. IMO they knew, and thought they’d get away with it.
