  1. I certainly don’t – apart from the fact it’s one of the few flashes of character he’s exhibited so far. Anyway,it’s now a rite of passage, isn’t it, for a politician to admit to having smoked some substance or other at some point? Although this may be indicative of why I will never qualify as a proper politician.

  2. Journalists. Because they think it will sell newspapers. And then they can very easily write follow-up pieces that say “Should we care? The debate!” and it’s much less work than writing opinion pieces about real hard issues.

  3. The normal reason given for concern is the fact that he wishes to be in a position to make laws that dictate how the rest of us behave. The logic says that if he didn’t obey the law himself he forfeits the right to do that.

  4. You mean David ‘Boredom Personified’ Cameron once upon a time did something that could be vaguely considered to be interesting? Yawn! Wake me after the next leadership election – must be one due Real Soon Now.
