as we are attending a LibDem meeting this evening at 7.30 (way to early for supper – we rarely eat before 8), perlmonger and I decided to treat ourselves to fish and chips for lunch.
so off he trundled to the village chippy. And disaster – they were closed. And no sign on the door to say *why* they were closed, or when they would be open again. I do hope he hasn’t shut down …
No open/closed times at all? I was just thinking the other day about when chippies always used to be closed on a Monday (unless it was just the ones near where I lived). Our local Chinese is closed Tuesdays but all the other places are open all week…
I always recall chippies being shut on Sundays. The Chinese/Indians open Sunday but shut on Mondays.
